Cristiano Ronaldo’s second stint with Manchester United might not be going especially smoothly, but the forward has still managed to register his 700th club goal. The Color Blast insert is a popular addition to 2021/22 Prizm Premier League sets, which seems to be universally appreciated by collectors who appreciate the unique design. 

Heung-Min Son is one of 30 players included as a hyper-rare addition, which is going to be expensive whether or not it’s graded.

The South Korea captain is featured in the white and blue of Tottenham. We think this card has great potential in the future, especially if he decides to become a club legend in London.

2. 2021-22 Panini Prizm Premier League Gabriel Martinelli RC #203 (eBay)

Brazil and Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli is one of the more hyped rookies within the game, and for good reason. 

Martinelli is one of the key rookies from the set, with a card available in a range of serial numbered Prizm parallels, including Choice and Breakaway variants. (They change the color or the pattern of the background.) 

Many have already been shipped off to the likes of PSA for grading.

(Barring the autos, and the Color Blast cards.)

Martinelli is proving to be one of the more potent forwards in the Premier League, leading Arsenal to the top spot during the early stages of the 2022/23 season. It’s only going to add to the attention paid to his best rookie cards. Otherwise, a Ronaldo auto is always going to be tempting for most soccer card collectors.

We grabbed a box of 2021-22 Panini Prizm Premier League Soccer to see what all the fuss was about, and ended up hitting a redemption auto, along with the cards seen above. (The redemption was for Anthony Martial, and it hasn’t shown any signs of being sent to us anytime soon.)

Regardless, we can’t complain with an auto, and there’s no denying the quality of the cards when they’re seen up close. The rarest parallels can easily sell for four figures, and are definitely worth sending off for grading. One slight downside would be that the rookie class isn’t the strongest, even with the likes of Martinelli and Chukwuemeka.

In any case, it’s a fun box to rip, as long as you aren’t expecting massive returns.
