Chris Webber, the 1994 NBA Rookie of the Year, made five All-Star teams and five All-NBA teams and averaged 20.7 points, 9.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists during his 15 years in the league.

He was elected into the Basketball Hall of Fame after 8 years in 2021, which saw a major uptick in interest for his rookie cards, as well as his rarest options.

We’ve listed a trio of the best Chris Webber cards below to help you get started.

The Best Chris Webber Cards

Chris Webber RCs were released during the height of the junk wax era (1993-94), so they’re not scarce by any means. We’ve included one of his best RCs, along with a premium auto and an RPA.

3. 1993-94 Topps Finest Chris Webber RC #212 (eBay)

1993-94 Topps Finest Basketball was a first for the brand, featuring some of the biggest stars from the day in a 220-card base set. (For example, Michael Jordan is #1.)

Webber is pictured during his time spent with the Golden State Warriors, where he averaged 17.5 points and 9.1 rebounds per game and won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award in 1993-94.

If you want the most popular Webber RC, look no further. PSA 10 copies have recently sold for roughly $160, so it’s reasonably affordable.

2. 2013-14 Flawless Super Signatures Chris Webber #17 (eBay)

Heading forward a decade in time and over to the ultra high-end of the hobby, 2013-14 Panini Flawless Basketball contains one of the more popular Webber autos you’re likely to find.

The base version of the Super Signatures card is limited to only 25 copies, while there’s also a handful of rare parallels that are hardly ever seen on the market. Of course, the auto is of the on card variety, and it’s hard to do much better in terms of value.

  • Parallels: Ruby #/15, Gold #/10, Emerald #/5, Platinum 1/1

1. 2013-14 Flawless Patch Autographs Chris Webber #56 (eBay)

Sticking with 2013-14 Panini Flawless Basketball, this card is one that could give the auto above a run for its money. The addition of a large authentic game-worn patch is enough to make it stand out from the crowd. It easily takes the top spot on this list.

However, the Autographed Patches subset only has a print run of 25, along with four parallels. It’s not often that you’ll find copies available for sale, such is the rarity. Prices have also increased following his HoF entry, which bodes well for the future.

Chris Webber Cards: Buyers Guide

We’ve put together a quick buyer’s guide if you’re interested in the best Chris Webber cards.

None of his rookie cards are going to set you back by too much, even if they’ve been slabbed by the likes of PSA. In fact, you’ll be spoiled for choice.

The Flawless cards undoubtedly have the most potential for profit given their popularity and rarity. If you’re looking at Webber cards for investment purposes, it could be the best option overall.

Conclusion

Webber finally made it into the Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2021. That’s despite the lack of an NBA championship or NCAA title. (He didn’t even win an Olympic gold medal during the height of American basketball dominance.)

Severe knee injuries are one reason why his HoF entry took a little longer. Webber underwent microfracture surgery before it became known as a career killer in 2003.

He offered a unique perspective during his enshrinement speech;

“I just want to talk a little bit about God’s grace, I want to talk about the fact that God has to lead you, you’re not always supposed to know where you’re going or how good it’s going to be when you come out on the other side. It’s just about trusting him, trusting God, trusting the process. Sacramento, my faith will forever be strong, because God gave me you.”
