Using 2020-21 Panini Prizm Basketball designs, the new range of NBA Funko Pops feature oversized cards, the best talent in the sport, and a familiar 4.5 inch model of the player. Here’s what we think of the collection.

I’m not the biggest fan of Funko Pops, but the new Panini Prizm NBA trading card set was enough to grab my attention. 

Using 2020-21 Panini Prizm Basketball designs as the backdrop, the statues come with an online-exclusive Gold chase version, and they look to be fairly valuable. 

We grabbed a statue to get a look and feel for the collection. Here’s a rundown with key stats and info about the new collection of Funko Pop NBA trading cards.

Summary 

There’s a decent overlap between card collectors and Funko fans, proven by the price seen for the rarer Gold versions on sites like eBay. I’ve started to see copies selling for roughly $100 each.

They’re easy to spot as it’s the color of the Prizm card that changes, rather than the outer box. They also have a ‘Panini Exclusive’ sticker found on the front. 

Personally, I wasn’t expecting the stand to be so big, which isn’t a bad thing. It’s more of a protective case, which can be hung on a wall. However, be aware that it does take up a fair bit of space compared to a normal Funko Pop.
