Another smaller release by Topps, the 2021-22 Topps PSG Team Set leans on the star power of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar to shift boxes.
(Not to be confused with the high-end 2021-22 Topps Chrome PSG Team Set, these cards lack the Topps Chrome logo in the top right corner.)
It’s affordable, but autos come in at a rate of one in eight boxes. It sold out pretty quickly thanks to a strong checklist, but is it worth adding any of the cards to your personal collection?

Every base card comes with a heap of parallels, such as the Rainbow Foil version limited to 250 copies which is seen in the image above. Is it worth it?
I was able to grab a couple of ripped boxes at auction, for 99p in total. This included the numbered parallels, and the icy foil cards.
It’s always going to be tempting to open boxes considering the star-studded checklist, but there’s a good chance you’ll get a worthless parallel if you’re thinking of ripping open sealed products. If you’re not sure, it’s worth taking a look at some of the numbered cards online, as you can pick up many for next to nothing.
2021-22 PSG Team Set: Summary
There aren’t many collectors who would say no to a Neymar/Messi/Mbappe auto, but there’s likely to be a lot of disappointed customers given the fact that signatures were produced at a low rate. However, it’s a fun set to rip, with a few cards that could be worth a significant amount in years to come.
