Let’s talk about the best Robert Lewandowski cards.
Lewandowski is one of the most prolific strikers of all-time. He notched over 280 goals in the Bundesliga, surpassing Gerd Muller’s 49-year record for goals scored in a German top flight in 2020–21.
He also has the most goals and caps for Poland, and became the first Polish player to score in three consecutive European Championships in 2021.
If not for the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, he would be a multiple Ballon d’Or winner. (Then there’s COVID-19, which caused the cancellation of the 2020 ceremony where Lewy seemed certain to win.)
Regardless, he still has time, and hasn’t lost a step as of yet. Here are some of the best Robert Lewandowski cards, along with buying/selling advice.
The Best Robert Lewandowski Cards
A mix of collectibles from different eras make it onto the list. There’s a couple of strong options taking up the top spots.
5. 2018 Topps Chrome Bundesliga Robert Lewandowski #1 (eBay)
Lewandowski was chosen for the first card from the 2018 Topps Chrome Bundesliga set.
Refractor parallels are where the true money is, especially if you’re looking at anything rarer than Gold versions which are numbered to 50.
It features a Topps Chrome logo at the top of the card, with a simple action shot as he raises his right foot to connect with the ball.
Refractor Parallels: Blue #/199, Green #/99, Blue Wave #/99, Gold #/50, Orange #/25, Red #/10, Red Wave #/10, SuperFractor 1/1
4. 2020 Panini Immaculate Superior Swatch Robert Lewandowski #SSRL (eBay)
Lewy is included in the Superior Swatch Signatures subset of the 2020 Panini Immaculate release. Once again, it focuses on his exploits with Bayern.
The inclusion of an autograph and a large player patch is enough to make it one of his more popular collectibles. (Especially when looking at the rare Gold parallel numbered to only 25 copies.)
Even the base version is limited to 50, while it’s one of his better signed options overall.
The 2020 Panini Immaculate set has a range of signed Lewandowski cards, but it’s hard to beat the patch/auto combo seen here.
Parallels: Gold #/25, Platinum 1/1
3. 2018 Panini Prizm World Cup Robert Lewandowski /25 #NL-17 (eBay)
For something a little different, there’s a chrome insert from the 2018 Prizm World Cup set, with a parallel that has only 25 copies.
The National Landmarks illustrated insert combines top players with famous locations from their country.
As a unique option, it’s easy to see how it’s become one of Lewandowski’s more popular international cards. The same goes for the Gold Power limited to five copies, and the Scope one of one.
Parallels: Mojo #/25, Gold Power #/5, Scope 1/1
2. 2008 Panini Ekstraklasa Stickers Robert Lewandowski RC #128 (eBay)
In 2008, Lewy signed with top-flight Polish side Lech Poznań, going on to lead the team to a win in the 2009–10 Ekstraklasa. He then earned a move to Dortmund (narrowly avoiding Bolton due to a volcanic ash cloud), and the rest is history.
A sticker set was released by Panini featuring players from the 2010 Ekstraklasa season, including this profile shot of a rookie Lewandowski. His name is listed at the bottom, with the team found at the top.
As one of the earliest Lewandowski collectibles, it’s only likely to increase in value over the next decade. There are currently only 10 PSA copies according to the registry.
1. 2008 Panini Ekstraklasa Robert Lewandowski RC #8 (eBay)
The best Lewandowski RC option has to be the 2008 Panini Ekstraklasa sticker. It shows the player in a great action shot during his first top-flight season.
Once again, it’s a sticker rather than a cardboard release, but that also makes it a rare option as most have been peeled or ruined over the last 14 years.
(Then there’s the fact that it’s an Ekstraklasa set which is only likely to have been released and collected in Poland itself.)
There are 21 PSA 9 copies of the #128, while there are just three PSA 10’s. Coupled with the fact it’s a rookie collectible, it takes the top stop on our list.
Robert Lewandowski Cards: Buyers Guide
At 33, there’s still time to collect Lewandowski cards, even if his levels are going to drop eventually. For now, he’s likely to keep finding the net relentlessly.
Some of his more recent Prizm World Cup cards are a viable option. The 2018 base card is especially affordable even if you’re looking at graded copies.
That’s somewhat understandable given his record-breaking exploits for Bayern over the years.
Either of the Ekstraklasa stickers are definitely the best Lewandowski rookie overall. They may not have been printed on cardboard, but both will sell for a hefty sum if they’re wrapped in a PSA or BGS slab. (Especially if it’s somehow pristine after all these years.)
Robert Lewandowski Cards: Buying/Selling Advice
The forward reportedly wanted a move away in the summer of 2021, but Bayern Munich valued him at more than £100m. It was another chance for the player to add to his tally in a league he has torn up for years. He ended up signing for Barcelona this summer.
Players like Erling Haaland or Youssoufa Moukoko would kill for Lewandowski’s goal to game ratio when all is said and done, even if his RCs don’t match up in value as of yet.
We think Lewandowski cards are somewhat underrated, especially as he’s the record Bundesliga goalscorer. He earned one last major contract as he tears up La Liga with ease to prove any lingering doubters wrong.
