Celebrating the stars of the UEFA Women’s Champions League with ‘Knockout’ 2021, this collection is the first all-women’s football set produced by Topps.

The set contains autographs, parallels and top stars from the women’s game, and could be a savvy investment option long-term.

We managed to pick up a couple of boxes during the original release, with no real expectations in terms of resale values.

Prices for a number of cards from the set have risen over the past 12 months, so here’s a rundown with everything you need to know about the 2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League Knockout collection.

The Best 2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League Cards

Here are the best cards from the 2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League Knockout set.

5. 2020-21 Topps UCL Women Knockout Lieke Martens (eBay)

2020-21 Topps UCL Women Knockout Lieke Martens

Lieke Martens picked up a UEFA Women’s Champions League win in 2020–21 with Barcelona, further cementing her spot as one of the best midfielders in the world.

Her base card from the Topps UCL is fairly affordable, although values begin to rise when looking at numbered parallels. You’ll be able to find copies serial numbered to 1, 5, 10, 29, and 49.

4. 2020-21 Topps UCL Women Knockout Hanna Bennison (eBay)

Hanna Bennison won the NXGN Award as the best young female footballer in the world in 2021, before joining Everton for an undisclosed six-figure sum, breaking their transfer record.

Bennison would have been higher on this list, if not for Everton struggling this season. They finished 10th, (out of 12) and narrowly avoided relegation. However, Bennison is still one to watch, with a long career ahead of her.

There are autos available, and she’s only 19 at the current time of writing.

3. 2020-21 Topps UCL Women Knockout Jennifer Hermoso (eBay)

The legendary Jennifer Hermoso is the all-time top scorer for both Barcelona and Spain, and is widely regarded as one of the best female players in the world.

She was second in the 2021 Ballon d’Or Féminin voting, which is another reason why her cards have started to increase in value.

2. 2020-21 Topps UCL Women Knockout Pernille Harder (eBay)

Pernille Harder narrowly missed out on a Ballon d’Or Féminin win in 2018, losing out to inaugural winner Ada Hederberg by only six points.

The Danish player’s transfer to Chelsea was a world-record fee for a female footballer in September 2020.

Harder comes second in our list of the best cards from the UEFA Women’s Champions League, especially if you’re looking at the signed version or one of the rare numbered parallels.

1. 2020-21 Topps UCL Women Knockout Alexia Putellas (eBay)

Finally, 2021 Ballon d’Or Féminin winner Alexia Putellas was only included in the base set, but has quickly become one of the most valuable cards when all is said and done.

Take a look at some of the recent sales to get an idea of just how popular it is.

It’s easy to forget that there’s only a print run of 594, so even base copies are reasonably rare. We’re still holding onto the duo that came with our sets, and it should be seen as a decent investment over the next few years.

2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League: Buyers Guide

What’s the current state of the market for 2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League cards?

The majority of base cards from the set are affordable, and the same goes for many of the lesser known autos. Only the rarest options might be out of reach on a tight budget.

It might be a base card, but it’s hard to wrong with the latest women’s Ballon D’or winner. Alexia Putellas is our top pick, unless you’re looking at one of the rarest parallels or one of the Gold autos.

2021 UEFA Women’s Champions League: Buying/Selling Advice

We picked up a couple of boxes at the original retail price because they were cheap and they guaranteed an autograph. It was a safe bet, and it seems to have paid off in the short-term.

Women’s football is becoming more popular with each passing year, and it’s finally being shown the respect it deserves.

We’re probably going to hold onto our copies, and wait to see if values continue to rise.
